NFPA 409, Standard on Aircraft Hangars, sorts hangars into four groups by size and door height, and the group determines both fire protection and how the floor must drain. A hangar is Group I if any one of these applies: the aircraft access door height exceeds 28 feet, a single fire area exceeds 40,000 square feet, or it can house an aircraft with a tail height over 28 feet. Group II and Group III both have access door heights below 28 feet and are separated by single fire area in combination with the type of building construction, with Group III also covering row hangars, open bay multi-aircraft hangars and freestanding single-aircraft units. Group IV means a membrane-covered rigid steel frame structure. Confirm your group before writing a floor cleaning programme, because drain trench layout, suppression system type and the scope of permitted cleaning work all follow from it.

所有组别的机库都必须设置地面排水,容量要保证在全部消防系统与水枪按设计流量喷放时,可燃液体与水不会在排水口上方积聚。典型做法是沿飞机进出门平行布置一条沟槽排水,把泄漏燃油在流到停机坪、接触停放飞机之前拦下;飞机机位两侧再各加沟槽,防止液体扩散到机库其他区域。门外停机坪要向背离机库方向找坡,避免外部泄漏倒灌。这套沟槽体系对清洁作业有两个直接后果:一是洗地机的回收水绝不能随意排入这些沟槽(那是消防与油水分离系统,不是生活污水口),二是沟槽盖板与沟内积泥必须纳入定期清掏清单,堵塞的排液沟在火灾工况下等于没有。

Floor drainage is required for hangars in every group, sized so that flammable liquid and water do not build up over the drain inlet while all fire protection systems and hose streams discharge at their design rate. The usual arrangement is a trench drain running parallel to the aircraft access doors, catching spilled fuel before it reaches the apron or a parked aircraft, with additional trench drains on both sides of the aircraft bay to stop a spill spreading through the hangar. Aprons outside the doors are sloped away from the building so an outside spill cannot run in. Two consequences for cleaning follow. Recovery water from a scrubber must never be tipped into these trenches, because they feed fire and oil separation systems rather than sanitary drainage. And trench gratings and silt must be on a scheduled clean-out list, since a blocked drainage trench is the same as no trench at all in a fire.

The 2021 edition of NFPA 409 added the ignitable liquid drainage floor assembly, which the technical committee rated as equivalent in protection to traditional foam-based suppression. The 2022 edition went further and allows Group II hangars that do not conduct hazardous operations to use water-based sprinklers plus drainage as a complete alternative to foam, and permits encapsulator agents, which are fluorine free, non-corrosive and biodegradable, in place of AFFF and AR-AFFF. The operational meaning is direct: the floor is now an engineered element counted toward fire protection equivalence. If routine cleaning silts up the trenches, leaves gratings missing or destroys the fall with a patch repair, you have degraded fire protection, not merely hygiene.

FAA AC 150/5210-24《机场外来物管理》把 FOD 定义为“位于机场环境中不恰当位置、有能力伤害机场或航空公司人员并损伤航空器的任何物体,无论是否为生物”,并把 FOD 管理拆成四个相互衔接的环节:预防(意识、培训教育、维护计划)、探测(人工巡检与探测设备)、清除(设备与作业)、评估(数据采集分析与持续改进)。14 CFR Part 139.305(a)(4) 要求泥土、砂石、松散骨料、碎屑、外来物、橡胶沉积等污染物必须尽快、尽可能彻底地清除;ICAO 附件 14 第 10.2.1 条对所有活动区提出同等要求。机库地面属于这套体系的上游——机库里没清干净的螺钉、卡箍、线扎,会被拖车带到机坪,再被喷气尾流吹上跑道。

FAA AC 150/5210-24, Airport Foreign Object Debris Management, defines FOD as any object, live or not, located in an inappropriate location in the airport environment that has the capacity to injure airport or carrier personnel and damage aircraft. It structures FOD management as four linked areas: prevention through awareness, training and maintenance programmes; detection through manual inspection and detection equipment; removal through equipment and operations; and evaluation through data collection and continuous improvement. 14 CFR Part 139.305(a)(4) requires that mud, dirt, sand, loose aggregate, debris, foreign objects, rubber deposits and other contaminants be removed promptly and as completely as practicable, and ICAO Annex 14 paragraph 10.2.1 sets the same expectation for all movement areas. The hangar floor sits upstream of all of it, because a screw, clamp or cable tie missed inside will be carried out on a tug and then blown onto a runway by jet blast.

First, small metal items and fasteners such as screws, washers, lockwire and aluminium swarf. These need magnetic sweep bars plus vacuuming, not brooms, because a broom simply pushes them into the trench grating gaps. Second, oil and hydraulic fluid films, which need a scrubber running a compatible detergent with enough contact time, and heavy deposits should be absorbed with sorbent before machine washing. Third, grinding, sanding and composite dust, which requires an industrial vacuum with high efficiency filtration so dust is not re-entrained onto an open engine cowling or a fuel tank opening. Fourth, water and winter de-icing salt carry-in, which corrodes both machine and floor exactly as it does in any industrial plant. For equipment, a wide bay suits a ride-on scrubber such as the Aibolen P150-86D-PRO or the YLBA024 ride-on scrubber for the main pass, walk-behind machines under the wings and in equipment rooms, and an industrial vacuum such as the YLBC110 pulse reverse-jet unit for the finishing pass.

行业通行做法是机库地面采用环氧类涂层而非抛光混凝土,原因是抛光面遇油发滑、接触燃油易留渍,而环氧面对燃油与液压油泄漏更易清理;需要牵引车防滑时再在环氧体系里加骨料做防滑处理。清洁剂选择必须与涂层体系和航空液体兼容:强碱脱脂剂长期使用会使某些环氧面失光泛白,含强溶剂的产品可能软化涂层,含氯配方在有铝合金结构件与地面接触的区域存在腐蚀风险。稳妥做法是先在不显眼处做小面积相容性试验,记录稀释比与接触时间,并把批准的清洁剂清单写进机库的作业文件,而不是让班组各自采购。

Common practice is to coat hangar floors with epoxy systems rather than leave polished concrete, because a polished surface turns slippery with oil and stains on fuel contact, while an epoxy surface releases fuel and hydraulic fluid far more easily. Where tugs need extra grip, aggregate is broadcast into the epoxy system rather than abandoning it. Chemistry must be compatible with both the coating and aviation fluids: sustained use of strongly alkaline degreasers can dull and whiten some epoxy finishes, high-solvent products can soften a coating, and chlorinated formulations carry corrosion risk wherever aluminium structure contacts the floor. The safe route is a small compatibility trial in an inconspicuous area, recording dilution and dwell time, then writing the approved chemical list into hangar work instructions instead of letting each shift buy its own.

机库清洁的排班要绕开加油、放油、热工作业、喷漆与蒙皮修补窗口,这些恰恰是 NFPA 409 中定义 Group III 是否需要按 Group II 标准加强保护的高危作业。设备侧的现实要求包括:作业机具不得在燃油泄漏区域产生点火源,涉及可燃粉尘或溶剂蒸气的区域应使用防爆型吸尘设备(如 YLBC030 防爆工业吸尘器);机具轮胎与刷盘应为不留痕材质,避免在浅色环氧地坪上留下拖痕影响 FOD 目视巡检;夜间作业还要控制噪声,避免干扰同场维修沟通。清洁完成后应执行一次 FOD 目视走查(FOD walk)并留存记录,作为放行前置条件之一。

Cleaning must be scheduled around fuel transfer, defuelling, hot work, spray painting and doping, which are precisely the hazardous operations NFPA 409 uses to decide whether a Group III hangar must be protected to the Group II standard. Practical equipment requirements follow. No machine may present an ignition source in an area with a fuel spill, and areas with combustible dust or solvent vapour call for explosion-protected extraction such as the YLBC030 explosion-proof industrial vacuum. Tyres and brushes should be non-marking, since scuff marks on a light epoxy floor degrade the visual FOD inspection that the whole programme depends on. Night work also needs noise control so maintenance communication is not disrupted. When cleaning finishes, run a documented FOD walk and treat it as a release precondition.

FAA 的 FOD 指南反复强调一点:有效的 FOD 计划必须得到管理层的正式支持,并以书面 FOD 政策声明的形式确立、张贴在显著位置。落到机库地面清洁,可执行的做法是把四件事写进程序:一是分区与频次(机位区每班次、通道每日、设备间每周、沟槽每月清掏并记录);二是方法与设备清单(哪一区用洗地机、哪一区必须吸尘、哪一区禁止干扫);三是验收标准与记录(清洁后 FOD 走查签字、异常物品登记);四是评估闭环(按月统计拾获物类型与来源,反推是哪道工序在丢件)。设备买对只是起点,能持续产生记录的流程才是审核时拿得出手的东西。

FAA FOD guidance stresses one point repeatedly: an effective FOD programme must have the full support of management, formally expressed in a written FOD policy statement and posted in conspicuous locations. Translated into floor cleaning, four things belong in the procedure. Zones and frequencies, for example aircraft bays every shift, traffic lanes daily, equipment rooms weekly, and trench clean-out monthly with a record. Methods and equipment by zone, stating which area is scrubbed, which must be vacuumed and where dry sweeping is prohibited. Acceptance and records, meaning a signed FOD walk after cleaning and a log of recovered items. And an evaluation loop, tallying recovered item types and sources monthly so you can trace which process is losing parts. Buying the right machine is the start. A process that keeps producing records is what survives an audit.
